Pavex-2C is a high performance epoxy mortar designed for the creation of multilayer systems and the regulation of potholes and crevices in concrete pavements, giving a non-slip finish, supporting heavy traffic. Always use on indoor surfaces
Characteristics of the Pavex-2C epoxy mortar.
Pavex-2C mortar is free of solvents and 100% solids compound. It can be applied in both chemical and food installations, supporting continuous immersions in industrial and marine waters. It also protects pavements subjected to intense traffic from erosion.
- Withstands pressures of up to 5,500 kg per m2.
- Good chemical resistance.
- Good anchorage on concrete.
- Excellent resistance to abrasion.
- High resistance to compression.
- Extreme hardness superior to that of any concrete.
- Packaging: 5kg and 30kg.
- Colors:
- Resin A + B: amber.
- Arid: Natural color.
- Consult other colors.
- Consumption: 2.4 Kg / m2 per layer 1 mm. Thickness.
- Conservation: 12 months from the date of manufacture, in original closed container (20 ºC) and sheltered from the elements.
Characteristics of use of the Pavex-2C epoxy mortar.
- Once components A and B have been mixed, aggregate of selected grain size will be added in a ratio of 8 parts of aggregate: 1 part of Resin A + B.
- Pot life: 15 minutes.
- Dried at 20ºC and 60% relative humidity.
- Dry to touch: 60 min.
- Total drying: 8-12 hours.
- Total polymerization: 7 days.
- Final look: Mortar
Conditions of execution of the Pavex-2C epoxy mortar.
- On a completely dry and moisture-free surface, clean and free of fats and other materials.
- Do not apply with relative humidity higher than 85% and ambient temperature lower than 15ºC.
- Maximum humidity of the support 4%.
- Apply with good air renewal, 100% solids free of solvent.
- On a completely set cement base (≥28 days).
- On smooth, non-absorbent surfaces, open the pore by mechanical means (abrasive blasting, frosting, abrasive disc) accompanied by deep aspiration.
- Increases hardness and resistance against abrasion.
How to use the Pavex-2C epoxy mortar.
- Mix components A + B with a mixer at low speed until perfect homogenization is obtained.
- Add the selected grain size aggregate in the proportion of 1 part Resin (A + B) + (up to) 8/9 parts (depending on grain size) of the selected aggregate.
- Shake the resulting mixture until a homogeneous mass is obtained (Possibility of mixing with concrete mixer).
- Pour the resulting mass on the ground or in the area to be repaired (previously primed with Pavex 2C Primer) and spread with the help of a trowel and / or helicopter to the desired height. Let dry for at least 8 hours.
- Once the dry mortar admits any type of sealing: Pavex-2C color, Orfapol 50, Paviplast epoxy ...
Recommendations for the application of the Pavex-2C epoxy mortar.
- Application temperatures: 10-30 ºC.
- Always respect the same dosage.
- Do not apply on wet floors or subject to possible humidity lifts.
- Do not add any additive to the mix.
- Avoid splashing the product in the eyes and skin.
