Pavex 2C color features

Pavex 2C color epoxy paint is composed of epoxy resin helping to increase the hardness and resistance of surfaces against abrasion.

• Packaging: 5 and 30kg.
• Colors: Red, pink, silver and green.
• Supports: Concrete, metal, construction, naval, wood ...
• Consumption: 5-7 m2 / kg per layer (30–40 microns).
• Conservation: 12 months from the date of manufacture in closed original container (20ºC), and sheltered from the elements and humidity.

Pavex 2C color usage characteristics

• Pot life: 20 minutes.
• Dried at 20ºC and 60% relative humidity
• Dry to the touch: 3-4 hours.
• Total drying: 8-10 hours.
• Total polymerization: 7 days.
• Final appearance: porcelain effect.
• It can be diluted with Epoxy Thinner, 25% the first pass, 5-10% the following.

Pavex 2C color execution conditions

• On completely dry and moisture-free surfaces, clean and free of grease and other materials.
• Do not apply with relative humidity higher than 70% and ambient temperature lower than 15ºC.
• On a completely set cement base (over 28 days) and with humidity in the support of less than 4%.
• Apply with good air renewal.
• On smooth, non-absorbent surfaces, open the pore by mechanical means (abrasive blasting, milling, abrasive disc ...) accompanied by deep aspiration.
• To ensure adhesion, apply one coat of Pavex 2C Primer primer with humidity less than 4% on the substrate.

How to use the Pavex 2C color

• Mix components A + B with a mixer at low speed until perfect homogenization is obtained.
• The mixture of the 2 components has a life time of approximately 20 minutes.
• The application of the already mixed product can be done using airless equipment, a brush, a roller ...
• It can be diluted with Epoxy Thinner, 25% for the first pass, 5-10% for the following ones.
• Between coats, a minimum of 4 hours and a maximum of 24 hours must elapse. If this maximum is exceeded, a preliminary surface sanding will be carried out.
• If a slight superficial veil appears after drying, it disappears by cleaning the surface with soap and water.

• Application temperatures: 10-30 ºC
• Maximum relative humidity: 70%
• Moisture in the support: Less than 4%
• Always respect the same dosage.
• Do not apply on wet floors or subject to possible humidity lifts.
• Do not add any additive to the mix.
• Solvent based.
• Avoid splashing the product in the eyes and skin.
