Dry Slurry waterproofing grout mortar
One-component, polymer-modified cementitious mortar, which is applied in the form of a quick-setting grout and, once dried, creates a highly flexible and fully waterproof coating membrane.
Packaging: 30 kg buckets
Yield: it is 0,300 Kg / m2 and cap
This indicated consumption is indicative and on smooth surfaces, however an exact consumption must be determined by making samples on site.
Specifications and application form
Support: The support must be resistant and stable and clean of dust, paint, oil, grease, etc., for this purpose it will be cleaned, removing any remaining dust, liquids, chips, etc.
Possible efflorescence residues and any other substance that may impair good adherence to the support must also be removed.
It is recommended to clean with sandblasting, pressurized water, mechanical brushing, etc.
Repair degraded areas and fill gaps, holes or joints to achieve a smooth surface, as well as corners and angles creating a half-round with TherGlass® Concrete REPAIR FAST H TX.
Saturate the support with low pressure water in order to prevent it from absorbing water into the mixture. It is recommended to perform this operation a few hours before applying the mortar. In the event that the support cannot be saturated, it is recommended to at least lightly wet it to allow the mortar to grip. Insufficient saturation could lead to loss of adhesion and dehydration of the grout.
Mixing: The recommended amount of water for a very fluid mixture for the first layers will be around 35% by weight of the dry product, the subsequent layers will be kneaded with an amount close to or equal to 30% by weight of the dry product. It is recommended to start mixing with a part of the expected water and homogenize the product at low speed for a few minutes.
Later the rest of the water will be added until obtaining the required fluidity, mixing for a few minutes.
The mixture will be made with a slow electric mixer or with a glass mixer, for a few minutes and, in any case, until a smooth, smooth paste is obtained. The material is able to tolerate amounts of water higher or lower than those indicated without manifesting problems of surface water upwelling or sedimentation of solids. Let stand 3 to 5 minutes.
Application: Apply a first layer with a more fluid consistency, on the previously moistened surface, with a brush or roller. It is important to make this first layer in the same direction.
After 2 hours, apply a second coat in a cross direction to the previous one. It is not necessary to moisten the first one, unless the ambient temperature is very high, in which case the applied surface should be sprayed with water to facilitate hydration of the product.
In the case of cracked supports or that may be subject to slight movements, it is recommended to place a layer of fiberglass mesh between layers and layers appropriate to the thickness applied.
Cleaning
Cleaning tools and work tools In a fresh state, it can be cleaned with water. If the material is hardened, it can only be cleaned mechanically.
