Characteristics of aliphatic polyurethane

It is a two-component paint based on aliphatic polyurethane resin With a high chemical resistance.

  • Highly flexible.
  • On cement bases.
  • Excellent mechanical resistance.
  • Color permanence.
  • Packaging: 1-5-14kg.
  • Colors: Colorless and à la carte.
  • Supports: Pavicem microcement, concrete, mortars, Pavistone thematic rock, terrazzo, ceramic ...
  • Consumption: 1 kg: ± 10 - 14 m2 (1 layer of 30 microns) and depending on the absorption of the support.
  • Conservation: 12 months from the date of manufacture, in the original closed container (20 ºC) and sheltered from the elements and humidity.

Characteristics of use of aliphatic polyurethane.

  • Pot life: 8 hours.
  • Dry to the touch: 6-8 hours.
  • To repaint: 8-12 hours.
  • Total drying: ± 24 hours.

Aliphatic polyurethane execution conditions.

  • In all cases it is essential to apply on dry, clean surfaces, free of loads, oils and other materials.
  • On smooth and poorly absorbent surfaces, before applying the primer, sand, open pores and vacuum deeply.
  • Avoid painting in the presence of humidity.
  • On Pavicem cement-based surfaces, concrete, mortars ... it must be completely set (greater than 28 days) and free of humidity (less than 4%).
  • Preparation of the surface with Pavex Primer.
  • Avoid application with drafts, direct sunlight, risk of rain, ice or thaw.
  • Outdoors the maximum application temperature will be in all cases less than 25 ºC measured on the surface to be treated.
  • How to use aliphatic polyurethane.
  • Mix the 2 components homogeneously.
  • The low viscosity of Aliphatic Polyurethane allows it to be applied in its pure state.
  • Roller, brush or spray application.
    • By spray, after dilution with a maximum 10% of Polyurethane Thinner.
    • Interval between layers: 4-12 hours.
    • Times may vary depending on the weather.

Aliphatic polyurethane performance (50 micron thickness).

  • Solids by volume (v / v): 51%
  • Specific weight: 1.2-1.3 g / g / ml
  • Viscosity 25ºC in CF4: 100-120 sec.
  • Appearance: painting.
  • VOC content: 441 g / l
  • Mixing ratio by weight;
  • Component A: 77.5%
  • Component B: 22.5%
  • Persoz INTA hardness 160263: 35 sec. (24 hours).
  • Flexibility r = 3mm: Complies.
  • Grid adherence: 100%
  • Direct impact (12.5 ball from 50 cm): Complies.
