Revex Cal Grout Lime Mortar

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR APPLICATION

Always respect the same percentage of water during mixing. Do not add water to the product once it is kneaded. Respect the expansion joints of the existing base, mortar, ceramic, ... Application temperatures 5ºC to 35ºC. Do not apply with risk of frost, with direct insolation, strong wind or rain.

Layer thickness: equal to a conventional mortar.

EXECUTION CONDITIONS

Clean the support, removing any dust, liquids, chips, etc. Possible efflorescence residues and any other substance that may impair good adherence to the support must also be removed. Saturate the support with low pressure water, to prevent it from absorbing the water from the mixture. Insufficient saturation could lead to loss of adhesion and the appearance of cracks in the mortar. Carbonation of hydrates in contact with atmospheric carbon dioxide increases strength and durability. Its mechanical resistances will gradually increase for life.

HOW TO USE

• Mix a bag of Revex-Cal Grout (30 kg) with 5 - 6 liters of clean water with a mechanical mixer at low speed, until a homogeneous and lump-free mass is formed.
• Machine designed: knead with 21 - 22% clean water.
• Natural hydraulic lime (NHL), hydrated lime with a high calcium content, very pure siliceous and limestone sands and compensated grain sizes.

  OBSERVATIONS

• Do not add any additive to the mortar.
• On absorbent or porous surfaces and in times of strong heat, moisten before applying the product.
• Eliminate the residues of plaster or old paints, salts, molds ...
• Mechanical kneading is recommended, at low revolutions and always the same kneading times.
• The drying time will vary depending on the existing temperature and humidity.
